I have adhd and anxiety
Reviewed: 04-05-24
having these, untreated, made me dread having conversations, which obviously resulted in loss of connections. I was either too quiet or talked too much. So, I decided to just stay to myself to avoid constant misunderstandings. This book made me painfully aware of how much I allowed my trauma and mental health to effect my growth in conversational/ relationship skills. This was the first book on my journey to understanding/rewiring my brain and I think it was a great start. If you have similar mental health issues, I'm sure you can agree that this gave you some form of self awareness, even if others deem the information "basic". The narrators voice did not sound like AI in my opinion and I liked his flow. Overall, I feel a little more confident in my approach and it was a very easy listen. I will most likely listen again because....well, memory is another issue 😅.

I've been following Bretman since the beginning and this book made me so amazingly proud of him and his growth. I'd listen to books narrated by him anytime, any day.
