Story
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Not a fan of the Narrators, flat and emotionless. Fantastic story, world and incredibly inspiring. one of the best climax of any book I have ever read. had me in tears.

Story
Some say that to change the world you must first burn it down. Now that belief will be tested in the crucible of revolution: The Breakers and Burners have seized the levers of power, the smoke of riots has replaced the smog of industry, and all must submit to the wisdom of crowds. With nothing left to lose, Citizen Brock is determined to become a new hero for the new age, while Citizeness Savine must turn her talents from profit to survival before she can claw her way to redemption.

Not his best work

French revolution in a fantasy setting. so many cool opportunities to showcase the awesome magical characters and we ended up having to deal with the least interesting ones. I feel this book could have been great, but it seemed like a set up for the next series rather than a complete story by itself. I didnt like any of the POVs and that really hurt my enjoyment. Good writing and flow, but it just didnt take the direction that I hoped. Pacey was amazing as usual.

Story
The second novel in the wildly popular First Law Trilogy from New York Times best seller Joe Abercrombie. Superior Glokta has a problem. How do you defend a city surrounded by enemies and riddled with traitors, when your allies can by no means be trusted, and your predecessor vanished without a trace? It's enough to make a torturer want to run - if he could even walk without a stick. Northmen have spilled over the border of Angland and are spreading fire and death across the frozen country. Crown Prince Ladisla is poised to drive them back and win undying glory.

Why can't Steven Pacey Narrate my life? The material is amazing, I have always loved Joe's work, but couple the two and you have the most enjoyable listening experience possible. I am sad that I am almost done with the series because I could listen for days to this wonder.
