Story
As told by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Hit Refresh is the story of corporate change and reinvention as well as the story of Nadella's personal journey, one that is taking place today inside a storied technology company, and one that is coming in all of our lives as intelligent machines become more ambient and more ubiquitous. It's about how people, organisations and societies can and must hit refresh - transform - in their persistent quest for new energy, new ideas, relevance and renewal.

I wish Satya Nadella had narrated the entire book. but other than that I can't think of anything that would have made it better.

Story
Ours is a time of revolutionary change that has no precedent in history. With the same passion he brought to the challenge of climate change, and with his decades of experience on the front lines of global policy, Al Gore surveys our planet’s beclouded horizon and offers a sober, learned, and ultimately hopeful forecast in the visionary tradition of Alvin Toffler’s Future Shock and John Naisbitt’s Megatrends. In The Future, Gore identifies the emerging forces that are reshaping our world....

Al Gore clearly, simply and effectively describes humanity’s present situation giving the listener deep insight into the potential future paths that lie ahead of us
He has an excellent ability to research and outline multiple emerging and overlapping factors and describe down to first principles the implications these have for civilization as we know it
I think content should be taught in schools and we should be seeking to create movements of awareness to implement the critical recommendations in the conclusion. Most of all, you need to read this book so you can decide how you can contribute as an individual to shaping the world that future generations will inherit from us

Story
The secret behind France's astonishingly well-behaved children is here. When American journalist Pamela Druckerman has a baby in Paris, she doesn't aspire to become a "French parent". French parenting isn't a known thing, like French fashion or French cheese. Even French parents themselves insist they aren't doing anything special. But French children are far better behaved and more in command of themselves than American kids....

Love this book! It has changed the way I look at parenting

I think this book has added significant value to my journey as a parent and is filled with tangible and powerful insights
The pause, educating children to deal with frustrations in life, creating a balance between children’s rights and parents rights, establishing authority, creating strong boundaries and a framework for children to be free within and express themselves within (the cadre).
All of these principles are something I will listen to again and again.

Dr. Robert Glover has dubbed the "Nice Guy Syndrome" trying too hard to please others while neglecting one's own needs, thus causing unhappiness and resentfulness. It's no wonder that unfulfilled Nice Guys lash out in frustration at their loved ones, claims Dr. Glover.

Story
In this stunning audiobook, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" - the best and the brightest, the most famous, and the most successful. He asks the question: What makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: That is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

This book is fascinating, entertaining, insightful and deeply meaningful. It has changed the way i look at my own individual life inspiring me to want to seek out and take advantage of opportunities to work hard and achieve success and it has changed the way I look at our collective success as society. The implications of this message would have profound consequences for the way we organize ourselves as humanity and I think the more people that know about these principles the more prosperous and successful a world we could all build.
Read this book and spread its message as far and wide as possible.
