Story
Elantris was built on magic, and it thrived. But then the magic began to fade, and Elantris began to rot. Now its shattered citizens face domination by a powerful Imperium. Can a young Princess unite the people of Elantris and lead a rebellion against the imperial zealots? Brandon Sanderson's debut fantasy showed his skill as a storyteller and an imaginer of baroque magical systems to be fully developed from the start.

Good value, slow narrator and average fantasy.

I enjoyed every minute of listening to this book. I really liked Mistborn, but think I like this one even better. I wanted to press play from the moment I opened my eyes in the morning. The main character is very likeable, but no super hero. He feels pain and suffering just like everyone else, but that does not deter him. He stays positive and helps others. Sanderson created interesting characters. I was intrigued and I tried to solve the mystery before it could be revealed, I failed. I had some idea as the author slowly lead you there, but it was still an "a-ha" moment. I'm going on to another Sanderson book (the way of Kings) immediately to avoid that sad grieving feeling you get when you have just finished an amazing book... that way I know I won't be disappointed with the next book. I'll read Elantris again and would recommend to all.

Story
We know that gut health is important. What and how you eat affects your energy levels, your brain function, how you feel, your work performance, your skin, your weight, how well you age and your long-term health. There isn’t much else in life under your control that has that kind of awesome power and all of these effects start with what happens in the gut. At the same time, never before have we been so confused over what we should eat!

I have learnt so much, thank you Dr McMillan!
It was really interesting and I've listened to all the eposides in less than a week.
The narration was done very well and I love the author/narrator's voice and accent. I even laughed out loud a couple of times as the narrator is really humourous and totally draws you in. The information is all built on scientific information by a professional, and explains why some of the fads might be bad for you or which ones is actually good.
It was interesting to get to know how my body works from the moment I start a meal and all the processes involved and how it affects my whole body.
I will try and look after my microbiome better :)
