Liked the humor, story, and dialogue. Interesting, light story.
The narrator was good, but oh so wrong for the main character! Just did not work!

Story
From a young age, my mind has been plagued with things only I could see. Never knowing if these visions were real or just hallucinations, I learned how to lock them down and ignore them. I learned to take solace in the relative anonymity of city life and find peace in the rainy days my city of Seattle is known for. But just when I think my life is getting on track and my dreams are achievable, a moment of weakness causes me to learn a hard and fast lesson. My entire existence has been a lie. Now I'm faced with a new reality that's as implausible as it is fantastical.

Story
The Manipulator. I can manipulate the emotions of anyone who lets me. I will make you hurt, make you cry, make you laugh and sigh. But my words don't affect him. Especially not when I plead for him to leave. He's always there, watching and waiting. And I can never look away. Not when I want him to come closer. The Shadow. I didn't mean to fall in love. But now that I have, I can't stay away. I'm mesmerized by her smile, by her eyes, and the way she moves. I'll keep watching and waiting. Until I can make her mine. And once she is, I'll never let her go.

So many people bought this book and rated it highly.
Why?
It’s nonsensical and silly.
I wasted a credit on it. Oh well. Not good at all.

Apparently, the only victim in this story is OJ.
Everything is someone else’s fault.
Chilling listening to a murderer justify his actions. Glad he won’t profit. 💯

Needs new narration
Reviewed: 05-08-22
Unfortunately, the way this is narrated is distracting. She relies on a repetitive cadence whether it makes sense in terms of meaning to the sentence.
It’s not as bad during the dialogue.
The stilted monotonous narration makes it hard to follow the storyline as time is needed for comprehension.

The phrase “my treacherous body” is used over & over. 😫
Whole paragraphs are repeated as inner dialogues. Maybe too much copy & pasted? Perhaps books are being stretched out to create a semi-profitable series?
Condense and speed up storylines, avoid repetitive phrases, and this author won’t have to pad books with filler. Why?
Because the premise is good. Also, action & humor is well done.
Books 1 & 2 read like writing is a side job/hobby. Much potential with focus & editing. 3 out of 5

Story
When Mouse’s dad asks her to clean out her dead grandmother's house, she says yes. After all, how bad could it be? Answer: pretty bad. Grandma was a hoarder, and her house is stuffed with useless rubbish. That would be horrific enough, but there’s more - Mouse stumbles across her step-grandfather’s journal, which at first seems to be filled with nonsensical rants...until Mouse encounters some of the terrifying things he described for herself.

This book has been mis-categorized.
It’s more of a comedic effort, which would have been fine if I that was what I wanted to purchase.
I didn’t finish but the performance and writing wasn’t bad; stereotypical characters etc, somewhat repetitive, but some may enjoy.
