A Tie for My Favorite

It's not a book, just some recorded seminars
Reviewed: 07-19-18
Not what I expected! Audio quality is very poor. However, the content, especially the first 2/3 - 3/4 is outstanding. It made up for the poor quality.

It really does help to discover my own judgements

I might not resonate with everything in the book but it did definitely serve the purpose to uncover my own judgements. I enjoyed the book and it has been helpful.

Story
When a career-ending injury left elite athlete and professional football player Lewis Howes out of work and living on his sister's couch, he decided he needed to make a change for the better. He started by reaching out to people he admired, searching for mentors, and applying his past coaches' advice from sports to life off the field. Lewis did more than bounce back: He built a multimillion-dollar online business and is now a sought-after business coach, speaker, and podcast host.

Painful to listen
Reviewed: 03-10-18
It's surprising that while Lewis is a fantastic speaker in his podcast in this audio book he was struggling to make it through the phrases. Definitely not a good choice to read his own book. The content of the book had several good points but he repeated himself a lot. Also, a lot of pretty mediocre performances in sports by Lewis himself are brought across like top level performances. I'm sorry but I don't recommend this book. Much better to listen to his podcast!

The book doesn't provide a "how to"...
Reviewed: 06-19-17
The book is nice but she doesn't really provide any practical tips on how to achieve what she's talking about. If you listen to the book it seems you just have to pray and have faith... or meditate and pronounce mantras. She speaks about instant changes all the time but this will most likely not happen to 99% of all who listen to this book. What would've been really interesting is to hear how to achieve the mental state in which these instant changes can happen... and this is exactly what she's not talking about in this book. Overall the book is ok, concepts that are explained in much more detail by, for example, Wayne Dyer... but she's easy to listen to and I don't discard getting another of her books despite not being completely satisfied with this one.
