Story
This book builds on a simple premise: good teaching cannot be reduced to technique but is rooted in the identity and integrity of the teacher. Good teaching takes myriad forms but good teachers share one trait: they are authentically present in the classroom, in community with their students and their subject. They possess "a capacity for connectedness" and are able to weave a complex web of connections between themselves, their subjects, and their students, helping their students weave a world for themselves.

I just discovered this book been a teacher for over 20 years.
Excellent topic the “wholehearted teacher”
I wish he had broaden the perspective by also looking at the confluente perspective of education and not only spirituality.
Love is quotes and will be buying the paper book!
Thank you.

Story
It’s hard to give up on the feeling that the life you really want is just out of reach. A beach body by summer. A trip to Disneyland around the corner. A promotion on the horizon. Everyone wants to believe that they are headed toward good, better, best. But what happens when the life you hoped for is put on hold indefinitely?

Love the journey and the reality of having to learn to live with uncertainty, and coming out strengthened on the other side.
The reality of cancer at a young age. The struggle for medical treatment and the lack of the so much needed communication from the experts.

Story
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Good I finally got to listen this one!

After a long pause from “looking for myself” inspirational readings by Brené Brown en her scientific based work. This kid brought some remarkable good points to look at.
I particularly found interesting that he touched many long practiced principles and make them obvious to me!
If you have been reading self improvement books this might be the last one you need to read!
PS. Except for maybe his next one 🙃
