It’s an action packed thriller and I couldn’t stop listening. I love Sam Devereaux as the reader.

I can’t listen to Ms. Sarah’s voice; high, thin and indecipherable.

Good story, not thrilled with the reader

I like the stories in the series. The reader speaks in a very slow affected way that is annoying. I found it was better if the reading speed was set to 1.1 instead of 1.0.

Good story, just can’t get used to the reader.

The story was interesting. I always enjoy the historical information in Andrea Penrose’s books. I just can’t do one more book by this reader. Her breathy, affected voice is distracting and annoying. I found it was more tolerable if I increased the speed to 1.1 instead of 1.0.

Hard to get used to the narrator

I’ve read many books by Andrea Penrose and have enjoyed them all so I was anxious to start this series. I was disappointed with the narrator. She tries to be “breathy” and mysterious. I finally got used to it enough to finish the book. Not sure I will finish the series if the same reader continues.
