Story
Even through the roar and effervescence of the 1920s, everyone in New York has heard of Benjamin and Helen Rask. He is a legendary Wall Street tycoon; she is the daughter of eccentric aristocrats. Together, they have risen to the very top of a world of seemingly endless wealth—all as a decade of excess and speculation draws to an end. But at what cost have they acquired their immense fortune? This is the mystery at the center of Bonds, a successful 1937 novel that all of New York seems to have read. Yet there are other versions of this tale of privilege and deceit.

Found the story pacing slow with predictable development. Boring characters with uninteresting lives. Enjoyed the narrators’ performances nonetheless.

Amazing book!!

Slow start, narrator voice is somewhat monotonous (which matches the robot characters). Overall, great audiobook!

Story
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Enthralling and Amazing Use of Technical Descriptions
Reviewed: 08-23-15
As an engineer, I felt that this book was written by one with a technically inclined audience in mind. I thoroughly enjoyed the detailed description of events, risk assessment, and explanation of plausible solutions. The author stroke a fantastic balance between science and fiction in the genre; it reminded me
of Michael Crichton's "Airframe". It was a great listening!
