Delightful, as Mrs. Pollifax might say.

Not my usual type of book as I like Harlan Coben and psychological thrillers. But it was a nice break from the darkness of those to a light but still engaging and action filled book.

Story
A tense, gripping psychological thriller, with Hitchcockian overtones, perfect for fans of Gillian Flynn, Sophie Hannah and Rosamund Lupton. Lara Finch is living a lie. Everyone thinks she has a happy life in Cornwall, married to the devoted Sam, but in fact she is desperately bored. When she is offered a new job that involves commuting to London by sleeper train, she meets Guy and starts an illicit affair. But then Lara vanishes from the night train without a trace.

Great read! Or listen, I guess I should say. The story line turns in directions you can't imagine.

I'm puzzled why it got such good reviews. The tedious affair almost made me quit listening but since I paid I thought I'd keep at it. Then it became unbelievable. Too bad.

A seemingly inplausible story line made believable. Great narration. Really got a feel for the different characters.

Don't let your dislike of the main character stop you from reading/listening to this book. I almost stopped listening after the first couple of chapters but so glad I didn't. Great story, great narrator.
