Wonderful overview with a challenging conclusion

While maybe some of it is out of date, this short history lives up to its name. And, more history than textbook, it focuses more on how we figured out a bit of everything meaning the stories and lessons live forever. Super entertaining, well-delivered, and educational, this is what an audiobook is meant to be!
