overall loved the book. I thought some sections were sorta forced like the check your bias stuff but Rowe's world and the greater development of the plot was fantastic. Rowe really knows how to subtly flesh out a world and has so many strands of information. I think it will be a true masterpiece of a series when it's complete

Man i really love this series. The pace of this book was well done and the audio performance was phenomenal. I was a bit dissapointed at some of the plot one overs. it seemed like things just abruptly ended for relationships whose dynamics i had really enjoyed but the book is still very good and i would definitely recommend it

Dakkon’s in trouble. Things have gone horribly wrong. But so long as there’s still a glimmer of hope, it’s not too late, is it? With such high stakes, failure isn’t an option. He’s got to stay crisp. Frosty. Focused. Dakkon needs luck, skill, and a meteoric rise in power, however success won’t come so easily. Nature is cruel. Predators come in all shapes and sizes, especially when the land is warped by magic.

Love The Series
Reviewed: 07-09-22
The twists from books 1 and 2 were great. However this book feels like more so a lackluster solo side story especially after the hardcore ending of book 2. The characters it does introduce feel really inconsequential such as the elf who the MC was supposed to find or the mist villain who doesnt have any buildup and is just evil for evils sake. I feel like with more group quests and interaction it would've been great. Even if it was the new characters, the time MC and elf spent together or the priest captain and MC felt pretty fun and interesting. Either way I am looking forward to the future of this series!

Really don't like the way the antagonist can just take away the hardwork the protagonist went through so much to ontain when the antagonist isn't really that interesting. But for the most part I found the out of game details to be pretty good and I like the protagonist.

I actually could not get through this book without the audio performance done by the narrator. For me collins dropped the ball on the ending since it goes 0-100 so abruptly and it was a bit too long. I loved to see snow's impact on the games and wouldve preferred to see more of his life in office school.
