Good Book

Nemesis Games is a hard act to follow. Damn that book was good. Don't expect another NG.
Babylon's Ashes is a good book in itself, many high tension moments that had me gripping each word. The story advanced, but not in the direction I hoped (they do still have a couple books left in the series). Good development and some tense moments. Definitely worth it (especially because by now you're likely big invested in the series).

A nice addition to the series. This was a fun and slightly informative novella that certainly enhances the story, and likely provides some depth to the future of the story as well.

Story
In Proof, Adam Rogers reveals alcohol as a miracle of science, going deep into the pleasures of making and drinking booze—and the effects of the latter. The people who make and sell alcohol may talk about history and tradition, but alcohol production is really powered by physics, molecular biology, organic chemistry, and a bit of metallurgy—and our taste for those products is a melding of psychology and neurobiology.

like in the first book, the overarching problem isn't resolved, or really addresses much & gives way to the sequel... which I will begin shortly.
