The narrator was alright just like the novel

I loved Alex Cross so I wanted to give this series a try. Took me a while to get used to the narrator but once I got into it she made the story come to life. Even as a lover of chick-flicks some parts of this novel were just eye rollingly cheesy - almost made me want to turn it off but luckily the chase was exciting enough to keep going. Once I finished I thought about moving on to the second novel and from the sample, I liked that narrator even less - bit monotone. Would have at the least preferred the same narrator. Don’t think I’ll move on to the second book.
