Story
Mia Solano has also had a difficult year. Recently divorced, she walked away from her legal career after a health scare caused her to reexamine her priorities. Now Mia owns a cat café, and she’s struggling to adjust to a slower pace of life. She finds an unlikely friend in Lauren, but Lauren’s legal troubles force Mia to revisit a part of her life she’s trying to leave behind. She can’t explain why she’s so drawn to Lauren. They shouldn’t have much in common, and yet, they just seem to click.

Yet another in a long line of terrific books by Rachel Lacey. She'll Steal Your Heart is a book about getting a second chance and building the life you never knew you could have. Lauren's story will break your heart and then fill it with happiness. I recommend reading the entire series, but She'll Steal your heart can be read as a stand alone as well.

Story
When poor college student Rose Walsh gives out an inappropriate gag gift at her office Christmas party, it backfires horribly. The gift's recipient is her boss, the esteemed president of Gio Corp., Vivian Tracey, and the only thing that can save Rose now is her smarts. Instead of firing her, Vivian blackmails math major Rose into joining her on a business trip to New York to investigate an embezzlement. A week out of state with a woman she can barely stand seems like the last thing Rose wants to do with her winter vacation. Only, maybe Vivian is not as bad as she seems.

I wanted to like it but couldn't. It has the potential to be good. It needed to be more fleshed out in places. The ending seemed rushed. The narration left alot to be desired.

Books are Rosie Taft’s life. And ever since she took over her mother’s beloved Manhattan bookstore, they’ve become her home too. The only thing missing is her own real-life romance like the ones she loves to read about, and Rosie has an idea of who she might like to sweep her off her feet. She’s struck up a flirty online friendship with lesbian romance author Brie, and what could be more romantic than falling in love with her favorite author?

Very disappointed

This book came highly recommended so I expected to love it. Unfortunately that was not the case. The story was okay. The side characters were very believable for the area the story supposedly took place. But the two main characters just seemed out of place. I must say the thing that just made me hate this book is the lack of research the author did about location. West Virginia is a completely different state than Virginia. A simple look at a map would show you that Jericho is in West Virginia although again and again in the book The author puts it in Virginia. Maybe I'm being sensitive but as a West Virginian it's so frustrating that people from other countries know we are a state but an author that literally lives in our region doesn't. I have never given a negative review on a book ever. And I really debated on this. I know there's nothing the author can do about it. I know a lot of people thoroughly enjoy this series of books. I just could not let it by without mentioning it. Just do better research next time please. One last side note we have never had a tornado in that part of West Virginia we have mountains and they break up when they get into the mountains.
