Entertaining, if a little annoying

The characters are interesting, and the story kept me interested. And then the ending was extremely abrupt, as if the author never finished the last chapter!

Story
A posthumous recipient of the World Fantasy Award for Lifetime Achievement, Marion Zimmer Bradley reinvented - and rejuvenated - the King Arthur mythos with her extraordinary Mists of Avalon series. In this epic work, Bradley follows the arc of the timeless tale from the perspective of its previously marginalized female characters: Celtic priestess Morgaine, Gwenhwyfar, and High Priestess Viviane.

This is an old favorite of mine. The narrator does a great job. I have always thought there were parts that were a bit tedious in this book, but it is a captivating story with a feminist edge that gives the Arthur story a great twist.

A very satisfying trilogy

I loved this story when I read it years ago. I think the audiobook is slightly less fun, mainly because some of the names and details are just better if you read them yourself rather than have them read to you. The narration is very good, and overall I think this is a very entertaining audiobook.
