Story
Miracle Springs is a place of healing. Strangers flock there hoping the natural hot springs, five-star cuisine, and renowned spa can cure their ills. And, if none of that works, they often find their way to Miracle Books, where, over a fresh-baked scone from the Gingerbread House bakery, they exchange their stories with owner Nora Pennington in return for a carefully chosen book. That's Nora's special talent. But when a visiting businessman reaches out to Nora for guidance, he's found dead on the train tracks before he can keep their appointment.

Music in the background a distraction
Reviewed: 02-07-19
Not sure who thought the music would add to the book. It is an incredible distraction and prevented me from entering into the narrative.
For me it ruined the story. If there is a way to remove it or shorten it to chapter changes that would be best. NOT a Value Added

Poorest narration for a good book
Reviewed: 02-02-19
The narrator continually misreads and mispronounces simply words. The word quay is pronounced “kee” not “q-way”. Her stilted is clearly enunciated, but so awkward that it is distracting. Occasionally she relaxes and the narration improves. Then she reverts to the same abrupt and clipped reading.
Hope the remain Aunt Dimity books don’t have her as narrator.

Story
For 10 years Lucy has enjoyed her job poring over rare tomes of literature for the Harvard Library, but she has not enjoyed the demands of her family's social whorl or her sort-of engagement to the staid son of her father's law partner. But when her 10-year relationship implodes, Lucy realizes that the plot of her life is in need of a serious rewrite.

Poor narration nearly ruined this completely

Not sure which was worse the mispronounced words or the caricatures accents. Made me wonder what the producer was doing as basic words were repeatedly mispronounced. If this is the beginning of a series I won’t be buying more.

Abissmal narration
Reviewed: 11-10-17
After 10 books I’m a series the least the narrator could have done would be to pronounce place and character names the same as had been done for all the other books. And within the book he seems incapable of maintaining the same pronunciations. His voicing of the characters also waivers and slips between different figures. Horrible if it weren’t for the fact that I’d read the book in hard back when it was first published I would have quit at chapter 1.

Story
The last camel is dead, and Egyptologist Amelia Peabody, her dashing husband, Emerson, and precocious son, Ramses, are in dire straits on the sun-scorched desert sands. Months before, back in cool, green England, Viscount Blacktower had approached them to find his son and his son's new bride, who have been missing in war-torn Sudan for over a decade. An enigmatic message scrawled on papyrus and a cryptic map had been delivered to Blacktower, awakening his hope that the couple was still alive.

Love the series - narrator not

Narrator is subpar. Lacks the character voicing which makes fiction enjoyable. I'm sure her style would be fine for non-fiction.
