Story
Kevin Mitnick was the most elusive computer break-in artist in history. He accessed computers and networks at the world’s biggest companies—and however fast the authorities were, Mitnick was faster, sprinting through phone switches, computer systems, and cellular networks. He spent years skipping through cyberspace, always three steps ahead and labeled unstoppable.

Interesting on how he did it.
Reviewed: 07-09-12
Was quite interesting on how he social engineered people to get what he needed. I guess it was because of the early days of computers and the innocents involved. That said I'm sure things he did are still being done. There were a few slow times like when login numbers were being read. I mean after about 2 it would have been fine but to keep going with like 10 well I thought that was a bit to much. Over all to me it was a very good listen.

Story
The son of a classical pianist straight out of the Bronx of old Archie comics, Steven Tyler was born to be a rock star. Weaned on Cole Porter, Nat King Cole, Mick and his beloved Janis Joplin, Tyler began tearing up the streets and the stage as a teenager before finally meeting his "mutant twin" and legendary partner, Joe Perry. In this addictively listenable memoir, Tyler unabashedly recounts the meteoric rise, fall, and rise of Aerosmith over the last three decades and riffs on the music that gives it all meaning.

I'm not sure if I believe all his stories but it does give an inside view of the band. As I said in the headline, Tyler is full of himself. Would I recommend this book? It was hard to finish it, that's all I can say.

Was a good listen, good reader. Learned quite a lot about the B-24. My dad flew in a B-17 from England so this was about the other "heavy bomber" he talked about.

I enjoyed the book, yes you could say he was an ass but he did what he thought was right.
Steve Jobs seemed to be a depressed person.
His passion was the products that Apple made and to me he did a great job.

Twenty-five years ago, when Pat Robertson and other televangelists first spoke of the United States being a Christian nation that would build a global Christian empire, it was hard to take such hyperbolic rhetoric seriously. Today, such language no longer sounds like hyperbole but poses, instead, a very real threat to our freedoms and our way of life.

Story
Here is a visionary analysis of how the politics of fear, secrecy, cronyism, and blind faith have combined with the public sphere's degradation to create an environment dangerously hostile to reason. Never has there been a worse time for us to lose the capacity to face the reality of our long-term challenges, from national security to the economy, from issues of health and social welfare to the environment. As The Assault on Reason explains, we have precious little time to waste.
