Story
I’m head-over-heels in love with my best friend, although I can’t pinpoint exactly when Reeve Lancaster became my entire world. I was there as his star ascended - just like I’d always known it would - and there wasn’t a prouder person on the planet. Until he crushed my heart into itty-bitty pieces, forcing me to fly halfway around the world to escape the gut-wrenching pain.

It was good but like, annoying too
Reviewed: 11-13-22
Ok, so here is my take on this book. yes, i know theres more to it and it isnt a stand alone book. But just this first one alone, i did enjoyed it. I did fell in to the story. I did find annoying how Viv claims to be supportive and doesnt want to be the reason why Reeves career may not succeed so she doesnt want to insert herself into deciding his future for him but at the same time feels like she isnt being put first and making it seem like Reeve is selfish but just her wanting him to put her first is already selfish of her. Like, she knows what he is getting into and knows how the life of being a famous celeb will be so she shouldnt be reading so much into everything. If she claims to love him so much and knows him so much, then she should know, no matter what, he will never leave her for another woman. Yes, sometimes its not your persons fault and its the other person who is trying to do everything to cause u pain but it only cause u pain if u let it. and for Viv to let it affect her, was her own doing. I did, though, like the time Viv being away in Ireland and meeting new friends and a potential new lover but it ended sadly. I was rooting for #teamdillon.
As for the narrator, Sarah Puckett was the same person who voiced Serena from Scared to Love, one of Siobhan Davis other book and with the same thought, I feel like her voice has no emotion and it doesnt really display the emotion of Viv. When I read, I always tend to have a movie playing in my head of what I am reading and I always try to picture myself playing that character and her voice just doesnt do it for me. I did still enjoyed the book and I love how this was narrated by characters. Reeve's voice was annoying, sorry not sorry, But when he seems to supposedly be mad or yelling, it just sounds more like whining to me and not so sincere. I love Ash's accent so good job narrator for that. Dillon's, well, it was ok. I know the book does good at describing the character's looks and features but somehow, Im always having my own imagination of how they look.
Anyways, overall, this is a good read/listen to and I didnt want to buy another credit for the 2nd book so i am reading it instead on kindle. I couldnt wait til next month for my credit to hit. the 2nd book will be reviewed separately and once Im done but so far, all i gotta say is, I am so sad and heartbroken, I actually cried. You only feel all that when u put yourself in the character's shoes. anyways, im looking forward to how book 2 would go even though I already have a feeling of how its gonna go.
Just an UPDATE:
I know I mentioned I do not like Sarah Puckett's voice but with this new audible book im listening to, I can say I am starting to get used to her voice therefore I actually don't hate it as much anymore. Im growing more fond of it. So I'd still recommend listening to this book and the other books from this author. I am loving her books. Im listening to the Forever Love duet one now. looking forward to more of her work.

Story
Life is a cruel game where only the most ruthless survive. It’s a truth my mother rebelled against, and she paid for it with her life. Now, I play their game. Publicly accepting the destiny that lies in wait for me when I turn 18. But, behind closed doors, I plot my escape. Trent, Charlie, and my twin, Drew, rule the hallways of Rydeville High with arrogance and an iron fist. I execute my role perfectly, hating every second, but they never let me forget my place in this world. Everyone obeys the rules. Because our families have always been in control.

Love love love but be warned

Ok, so hear me out. I do love the series overall but what I really hate is the fact that there's a lot of emotional and physical abuse mentioned as well as a lot of SA-ing. And the fact that they are all still pretty much in high school and are minors, is so crazy to me. Throughout the whole book I sometimes forget that they are all still minors and are in high school only. I just can not imagine anyone going through any of the things Abby went through or had to deal with. And the sick bastards that are molesting these minors. Again, it is crazy that they are all still minors but yet having to deal with everything as adults. I don't think I can survive or even tolerate what Abby had to deal with let alone them all.
I do recommend this series but be warn, it can be triggering. Mentioning of abuse, emotional and physical, SAing, and lots of mature content.
I've listened to many of this author's books already and I am a fan of her work. Looking forward to more of her books to listen to.

Ok, so I was super iffy at first about this serie and wasn't at all so into it at first but once i really focused and continued listening to this book, i fell in love. It's so good. All the books can be read alone but I would recommend listening to it all so you can get a better understanding of what goes on during the big gaps in book 2 and 3. I also love the narrations, they did amazing. I won't spoil anything but I recommend giving this a read or listen. It's worth the credit though i purchased it separately from my credit.

I was so iffy about this book but then I got so invested and so into it that I couldn't stop listening to it. the storyline is so so good. I love it. I dont want to say anything to spoil the story so I won't. except this book is a must read/listen to. the intimate stuff isn't a lot at all but I really like the storyline. and the narrators weren't annoying to the ears.

ok, so I thought it'd be somewhat a little better. but im super disappointed of the ending. I skipped all the chapters of the villains pov cause it didn't interest me. the intimate scenes were hot but like, i don't know, maybe too much?? if the 2 leads aren't out trying to work or so something, they'd be in bed just being intimate which is hot but like I think it was too much. the ending just left me confused at like why is it over already. I needed to know what would happened afterwards. I wished it was better.

OMG! I'm so in love with this serie. Its hot, sexy, emotional, and so full of steamy parts, I dont know, i just love it. Gavin's story is somehow longer, 2 parts while each of the other brother has just 1 part. Quinn's story, to me, i disnt like as much because everything was so rushed. Almost like the author really had nothing to say or probably had a writers block or something cause it is shorter, everything happened too fast and his storyline was super rushed. but still good and ok to listen to. But overall, I love it. I can see myself listening to this all over again. of course my imagination is running wild with other people playing the parts so it makes it so much more steamy n crazy but that ill keep to myself. lolz
I'm glad its not another mafia related exotic romance novel. that's all I've been seeing on here under this genre. lolz but highly recommended.

ok, let's start off with saying how annoyed I was with the main girl. like, ugh she was annoying asf. I love the relationship build up for lyla and chase. I thought it to be cute. I seriously was thinking that the person they thought is the killer/stalker, couldn't be him. I was telling myself its not him and that what if he was already murdered by the real killer first? I did guessed wrong but I also did guessed somewhat correctly too. but I didnt think it was going to be who it turned out to be. its kind of weird, honestly. but overall, I did enjoy the listen even though lyla was a bit annoying. at least the narrator voicing it, was making her out to be.

ok, so I was a little skeptical at first about listening to this one. only cause of the reviews. but I took a chance and got it to listen to while I'm at work. and to my surprise, I actually liked it. most reviews says they already knew who the murderer was within the first hour or so but I didnt. I was guessing the whole time. also, it turned out to be someone who i never even thought of and also if im correct, was barely in the book. anyways, I really liked the 2 lead character and I love Blake's flirtiness as well as his teases. anyways, hope u enjoy it too if you chooses to listen to it.
