Such a pure story. Her voice sounded so young that at times it seemed to lack the depth but as I continued listening her sweet love for Jesus brought me to tears and caused me to ask myself do I have the courage that she has to give up all for my faith. Being raised Christian I do not have to but in this society one has to have courage to stand up and speak out about how God is the answer above everything and say this to people that look at you like you are crazy or that you poor thing how naive you are. I found myself looking forward to hearing her talk about Jesus at the end of my day just to hear someone else that loves Him so much. I will miss her!

Story
Victor Hugo's tale of injustice, heroism and love follows the fortunes of Jean Valjean, an escaped convict determined to put his criminal past behind him. But his attempts to become a respected member of the community are constantly put under threat: by his own conscience and by the relentless investigations of the dogged Policeman, Javert. It is not simply for himself that Valjean must stay free, however, for he has sworn to protect the baby daughter of Fantine, driven to prostitution by poverty.

I loved the book but not the end!! I learned a lot about France and Napoleon. The story and descriptions of human behaviors in different situations will stay with me and I’m sure I will reflect back on them.

Story
In this bold, momentous work, the pope, in his first book written as Benedict XVI, seeks to salvage the person of Jesus from recent "popular" depictions and to restore Jesus' true identity as discovered in the Gospels. Through his brilliance as a theologian and his personal conviction as a believer, the pope shares a rich, compelling, flesh-and-blood portrait of Jesus and incites us to encounter, face-to-face, the central figure of the Christian faith.

Jesus of Nazareth

This book changed my life especially my understanding of the Lord’s Prayer. The book brings us to try and comprehend that Jesus is God’s gift to us and that Jesus is one with God and if we know Jesus then we can know God. That is very difficult to grasp. In fact, how does one go about his daily life with this knowledge? When the disciples saw that Jesus really was God, like when he walked on water and calmed the seas or saw him after he spoke to Elijah and his face shown like the sun, they fell down on their face. They couldn’t take it. That is how I felt after reading this book.

Story
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

The book was good but the readers completely distracted me and made the story so less realistic. I listened to the author speak after listening to the book and I wished he had been the reader! The male voice would say his first couple of words very quickly and close together and then the sentence would smooth out some but the choppiness of his sentences were irritating. The female voice was a little better but sounded too weak and high. The beginning of the story completely had me reading nonstop but then after so many twists and turns I couldn’t wait for it to just end. I also am offended by the use of the name of Jesus being used as a swear word in books.
