Great Storey, great narrator. Always enjoy Connelly's crisp plots, engrossing sories and well developed characters.

Enjoyable listen with excellent performanceby the narrator. Loved mix of mystery, romance and paranormal. I've enjoyed Amanda Quick novels for decades. I find this series set in Burning Cove to particularly enjoyable since it's set in the more recent past.

Don't know why it took me so long to discover this series, but now I'm hooked. I started with #22 in the series since it was a steal on a different audiobook site and will now continue on with a mix of audio and ebooks to complete those available.

I got the first book in the series as a freebie and now I'm hooked by the lines cast out by the author and again find myself laughing out loud in the middle of the night. I love the ability to switch from ebook to audible adding the excellent performance of the narrator to my overall enjoyment.

Now, when I switch back to the e-book, I can still hear the characters voices in my head, often resulting in a bigger laugh at the shenanigans between Cecelia, Ida Belle and Gertie.

This will be one of those series that I'll go back to in the future when looking for a mix of mystery and mayham with a large dash of humor.

Storey line was OK until the end, when if the book had not been titled The Russian it would have been more of an "Oh my" instead of a "sheesh " response.

I was turned onto this author shortly before the pandemic set in , and though I initially listened to the audio books only while driving, I've not got them in my ear while doing yardwork , housework or while attempting to stay healthy on my treadmill. This has definitrely gotten me through the books much faster, and makes the time fly while doing these mundane activities. The authors characters have a strong moral code and his descriptions of the wilderness are wonderful. I find the reader's interpretation of the characters to be right on, since in my head I see Joe as being played by Cooper or Costner, a man of few words but strong moral character. I find this particularly refreshing in this toxic environment of alternative facts and truths, that are so pervasive in today's society. I can't wait to start the next one and will explore other books by this author.
