Story
In 1761, on a sunny day in September, a King and Queen met for the very first time. They were married within hours. Born a German Princess, Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz was beautiful, headstrong, and fiercely intelligent… not precisely the attributes the British Court had been seeking in a spouse for the young King George III. But her fire and independence were exactly what she, and her King, needed. Because George has secrets… secrets with the potential to shake the very foundations of the monarchy.

Story
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

A Vulnerably Honest Truth
Reviewed: 01-16-23
When anyone is sharing their story (celebrity, royal or regular folk), you get the truest sense of a person by how they talk about their mistakes. Harry owns his mistakes, takes accountability for them and moves forward.
I cannot fathom being born into that royal lifestyle of loving your family members, but hating the institution running it. My hope for Harry is that his brother and father do read listen or read “Spare” and that it may bring more understanding & empathy for each other.
Either way, I loved listening to Harry’s truth in his own words and voice. Heart wrenching, but also filled so much love. Love of family he was born into, his chosen family, his country and countless people with whom he’s helped throughout the world.
