Unclear what level unfortunately

I have bought many of Patrick Johnson’s titles. This one I’m not as happy with because I was looking to continue material after completing his intermediate and advanced courses. This for the most part is a lot easier beginner material. The swear words are advanced (and hilarious) because its all new vocabulary…..but they are only a list and not worked into a dialogue unfortunately

Not Intermediate Not Organized well for learners

The chapters are way too long before you get to hear the english. Then the vocab lists are kind of a joke because half the worde are basic words most beginners already know. The other vocab words are useful but its a drop in the bucket of required knowledge needed for intermediate learners. Wish there were smaller segments followed by english so the learning can be broken down. I don‘t think the creator takes into account how much intermediate learners still struggle with verb tenses, grammer, pronouns, etc. I‘m a teacher and just don‘t think this was pedagogicaly thought out. The story however seems interesting….just can’t follow it

Thorough, challenging, and fun

This production is really awesome. Its my 2nd purchase from them stepping up from intermediate to advanced. The content is interesting and fun. They attack the content from various angles always throwing you curve balls in being engaged. Many chances to repeat grammer and vocabulary. Really good spacing to allow you enough time to answer their quizes.

My only frustration is during the longer introductory dialogues (mini story)….despite listening many times, there is still a lot in those dialogues I don‘t understand because they don‘t cover some of the vocabulary later in the breakdown. You need to go to the pdf to study that dialogue and then do further translation yourself to figure out some words. Would be great if they could update the pdf with an english translation of those mini stories

Otherwise I highly recommend this series and plan to purchase many more of their productions

Super solid challenging program

I used to have this set on cassettes way back. Now going through it again years later. With Audible feature to slow down at .7 or .8 and ease of pause button and reqinding I feel much stronger to succeed through this program. Program goes straight to the point with vocab and phrases in all types of life and grammatic situations. Will give you a strong base across the board to launch other challenges
