Story
Immanuel Kant taught and wrote prolifically about physical geography yet never traveled further than forty miles from his home in Kvnigsberg. How appropriate it is then that in his philosophy he should deny that all knowledge was derived from experience. He insisted that all experience must conform to knowledge. According to Kant, space and time are subjective; along with various "categories," they help us to see the phenomena of the world, though never its true reality.

Lots of info in such a brief time

Covers Kant the man and the thinker. Does not simply tell the facts but interprets the essence of the thing. Not a cheerleading session but lets us know Kant had his faults.

Story
An amoral young tramp. A beautiful, sullen woman with an inconvenient husband. A problem that has only one, grisly solution; a solution that only creates other problems that no one can ever solve.

Classic story

I never saw the movie. Maybe now I will. The story is that bad people are slow to reform … really slow … like almost never.
The depression years had a certain hopeless vibe about them, I guess. This story is not one of “hope” but of always giving up.
I liked the grim monotone style of the reader.
I had a enjoyable time listening. I recommend.

Story
They mustn't harm a human being, they must obey human orders, and they must protect their own existence...but only so long as that doesn't violate rules one and two. With these Three Laws of Robotics, humanity embarked on a bold new era of evolution that would open up enormous possibilities, and unforeseen risks.

I read this as a high school kid in the mid 1960’s. I liked it better then. A good story sill. But dated.

Story
Here are the thrills, grandeur, and unabashed fun of the Greek myths, stylishly retold by Stephen Fry. The legendary writer, actor, and comedian breathes life into ancient tales, from Pandora's box to Prometheus's fire, and transforms the adventures of Zeus and the Olympians into emotionally resonant and deeply funny stories, without losing any of their original wonder. Learned notes from the author offer rich cultural context. This volume is a doorway into a captivating world.

We all know a bit of the Greek/Roman myths. And we know the names of Planets, Moons, Stars, and other heavenly bodies that share a name with these Gods.
This book is an completely entertaining reading that, at the same time, teaches.
Of you are even mildly interested in getting to know these myths/stories - do yourself a favor - listen to this audio book. Well read. Interesting. Informative.
