Story
‘Culture Apothecary with Alex Clark’ is a health and wellness podcast where each guest provides their own remedy to heal a sick culture - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Apothecaries were the place where people would go for natural remedies, and Alex is restoring this concept by inviting expert guests every Monday and Thursday night at 6pm PST/9pm EST to share raw, unpasteurized truths! But that's not all...the last Monday of EVERY month will be a special solo episode with Alex called ‘Lobotomy Hour,’ where Alex gives unhinged and unapologetic rants, life updates, hot takes ...

I found the spillover from a reel on fb of a lady saying her husband heard the episode “if your husband isn’t asking for sex daily -he’s sick”. The episode clip looked interesting talking about women’s hormones in an understandable way so I found the podcast, gave it a listen and now I’m hooked! So many good episodes and this one is no exception! Great ways to think of dating, marriage, etc. especially since my oldest is nearing dating age and I want him to navigate it the best way possible.

In her latest book, The Universe Has Your Back, New York Times best-selling author Gabrielle Bernstein teaches listeners how to transform their fear into faith in order to live a divinely guided life. Each story and lesson in the book guides listeners to release the blocks to what they most long for: happiness, security, and clear direction. The lessons help listeners relinquish the need to control so they can relax into a sense of certainty and freedom.

Not my favorite, but it could be your cup of tea

I thoroughly enjoy the book You Are a Badass by Jen S. And since I have listened to that book about 15+ times so far, I compare books in this genre to Jen’s. Unfortunately the Universe Has Your Back falls flat. Gabby states in one chapter that she wasn’t invited to a speaking seminar because the ladies thought she had an energy of superiority, and that basically hit the nail on the head. The beginning was ok, the mantras peaked my interest, but by the end, I was repelled.
