Story
American freedom is being gutted. Whether we are trying to run a business, practice a vocation, raise our families, cooperate with our neighbors, or follow our religious beliefs, we run afoul of the government—not because we are doing anything wrong but because the government has decided it knows better. When we object, that government can and does tell us, “Try to fight this, and we’ll ruin you.”

Puff piece

it was an entertaining book full of cute stories. But the hollow platitudes and stories are entertaining and maybe motivational for some but they dont teach much about leadership. for example, the rule about 'buy in', what happens when your people dont have that? how do you make them have it? is that an option?
But it was an entertaining piece.

Behind the deeply contentious 2020 election stands a real story of a broken election process. Election fraud that alters election outcomes and dilutes legitimate votes occurs all too often, as is the bungling of election bureaucrats. Our election process is full of vulnerabilities that can be - and are - taken advantage of, raising questions about, and damaging public confidence in, the legitimacy of the outcome of elections.

Story
Richard Nixon opens with young navy lieutenant "Nick" Nixon returning from the Pacific and setting his cap at Congress, an idealistic dreamer seeking to build a better world. Yet amid the turns of that now legendary 1946 campaign, Nixon's finer attributes quickly gave way to unapologetic ruthlessness. It is a stunning overture to John A. Farrell's magisterial portrait of a man who embodied postwar American cynicism.

Best Nixon book ( so far). The author paints a portrait of tbw man with warts and all. By the 4th chapter the author really catches fire. Draw your own conclusions, but listen. Many many lessons here for today...and probably all the way back to the Clinton years.
