Story
Renée Ballard and the LAPD’s Open-Unsolved Unit get a hot shot DNA connection between a recently arrested man and a serial rapist and murderer who went quiet twenty years ago. The arrested man is only twenty-four, so the genetic link must be familial: His father was the Pillowcase Rapist, responsible for a five-year reign of terror in the city of angels. But when Ballard and her team move in on their suspect, they encounter a baffling web of secrets and legal hurdles. Meanwhile, Ballard’s badge, gun, and ID are stolen.

Murder Mystery mixs of the ages
Reviewed: 10-28-24
Enjoyed the mix of a strong detectives, along with Bosch, and up and coming Bosches daughter working the cases, big letdown was the authors politics as his definitions were typical Hollywood, CNN rhetoric, which half the population believes the opposite . Enough said, wish authors would leave their politics for there like minded puppets.

Excellent Read

Very captivating and engaging, just hoping Annie was successful . Putting Dolly Parton in the story was very endearing, only reason I gave 4 star storyline was it was kind anticlimactic when her past was exposed. Seems that all of her subterfuge was all for not a big deal, you just had to manifest horrible things happening to Annie,
definitely a PG story which was nice and refreshing, should of given 5 stars, but the drama was IMOP was a little over the top.

Reminds of the last Connelly book, but this time are hero is in jail, interesting putting a timeline with the Pandemic, Part that was irritating is Michael statement how he acquires his News via CNN, 80 million ppl would consider that a poor choice for News, surely he could of kept Politics out of this book picking on Trump, suppose that's to much for a resident of LA, overall good book.
