Seemed to be modeled after radio shows of the period. The narration was realistic and the story riveting. Highly recommended for a short story.

Nora Roberts again brings heart and believability to a modern love story intertwined with a wonderful world filled with fantasy and lore. Her knowledge of witchcraft, love of Ireland and its history and folklore bring you genuinely to Galway and what lies beyond. You know and care for the characters that she seamlessly introduces and weaves through the worlds in this trilogy. I wonder how I will impatiently wait a year for the last book while dreading the finality of my visits to these worlds and the ending of my vicarious friendship with everyone I met there.

These books take you on an unlikely journey of first love, spontaneity, life decisions and making it all work. But the characters and story line are so well written that you join them on each page, in their indecision, their possessiveness and into that inevitably beautiful fall into true love. A story you are unlikely to forget.

Madhuri Shekar is a genius playwright. This imaginative tale of a traditional Indian mother worried that her 29 year old American-raised daughter is not yet married is told through telephone calls. A brilliantly written drama that gradually increases the pace until you are holding your breath without realizing it until the shocking denouement. Don’t miss this one. It will stay with you, churning in the back of your mind, for some time.

Tim Tigner aligns characters that you care about with those you love to hate in a roller coaster ride with a surprise loop de loop at the end. It’s the kind of book where you find yourself holding your breath, awaiting the outcome of a perilous scene, and almost, like a good horror movie, you find yourself yelling silently “Get out of there! You’ll be caught!” I have found a new favorite author!

Seamless performance of an unexpected plot line replete with emotion, adequate but not excessive angst, and enough twists and turns to keep the reader interested and guessing. This is the type of novel that makes you happy to don your wireless headphones and do the dishes or laundry instead of sitting down to your favorite television show, it is just that good!

I usually write reviews when a book is especially good, but this was worthy of a negative star rating! The narration was beyond annoying, it was so painful that I couldn’t follow the storyline. The characters were flat and predictable, and the plot was a mishmash of bad dialogue and wandering, boring prose. Don’t waste your time and money!!
