I loved this new story and new detective! I couldn't stop listening, even when I had things I needed to do instead. Lepionka does not shy away from taking things as far as they can go and it made the story not only engaging the whole way through, but emotionally satisfying, as well. I can't wait for the sequel!

What did you love best about Unraveling?
This book is fast-paced. It goes places I didn't expect and doesn't flinch away from major life changing moments for the main character. I also enjoyed the romance and science elements.
What does Katie Schorr bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Katie Schorr really captures the main character--she is emotional in this extremely controlled way. I could feel the rising panic in the narrator's voice.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. It was very hard to turn off and I spent a lot of time in parking lots waiting for a good place to turn off the car. (There were never any good places.)

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would recommend this to friends who enjoy thrillers, especially those who get through books very quickly.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Ben Sullivan?
Yes. Ben Sullivan has a deep voice that is perfect for this type of book.
Any additional comments?
The book started out so quickly that I had a hard time getting my bearings and connecting to the characters. Once I understood what was going on, I began to enjoy the story. While there were a few story lines that left me puzzled at the end, the book concluded in a way that left me satisfied overall.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
The ending didn't feel right. The mystery is explained very quickly and it just felt off. I also couldn't' connect with the characters at the end.
The narrator reads very slowly and is over-dramatic. I wanted to love this book, but I couldn't.

Best Audio Ever
Reviewed: 05-04-12
Would you listen to The Scorpio Races again? Why?
I usually wait years before rereading a book, but after finishing this audio, I immediately started over from the beginning and am enjoying it even more the second time.
What did you like best about this story?
Everything. This story is amazing. The characters are all so real and everything fit together perfectly.
Which scene was your favorite?
I loved the scene where Puck and Sean ride Cor together. Everything about it was just intense and wonderful. (Please don't hold it against me if I've spelled Cor wrong... I haven't yet read the paper copy I have.)
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
All of them. I can't remember the last time I was so invested in a book.
Any additional comments?
This is hands down the best audiobook I have ever listened to. The narraters were both amazing and fit the story perfectly. They added a special magic to an already extraordinary book.
