Story
A silent health crisis is impacting one third of the American population - nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Because its symptoms often don't manifest until the liver is seriously compromised, many people are not aware that they are at risk. Did you know that if you have fatty liver disease, you are more likely to develop cardiovascular disease (heart attack and stroke) and potentially several devastating conditions such as liver cirrhosis and liver cancer? Did you know that fat is as dangerous as alcohol to the liver?

Disliked the book somewhat

It was very good information, though very repetitive. The same points and definitions of terms were stated multiple times, ad nauseam. I had to listen to the book using the 1.4x normal speed.
The first several chapters are quite depressing with a prognosis of gloom and doom. I thought it would be optimistic at some point but it didn’t feel that way to me.
The bottom line is the Western diet is harmful, innutritious and does not a healthy lifestyle. The author briefly mentions intestinal permeability without calling it “leaky gut” or mentioning the work of Dr. Gundry in this field.

Insufficient content to make it interesting. It makes the case that competing on analytics is important, and leaves the listener wanting more.
