Story
The first full-length biography of Fred Rogers, The Good Neighbor tells the story of this utterly unique and enduring American icon. Drawing on original interviews, oral histories, and archival documents, Maxwell King traces Rogers’s personal, professional, and artistic life through decades of work, including a surprising decision to walk away from the show to make television for adults, only to return to the neighborhood with increasingly sophisticated episodes, written in collaboration with experts on childhood development.

Great hero
Reviewed: 10-25-23
I enjoyed it very much! At first glance I did not think that the life of Fred Rogers would be very interesting, but I was wrong!
Despite being born into wealth and being poisoned by greed his family was able to incorporate wealth into a healthy lifestyle.
He found peace in his faith in Jesus and found both a calling and a lifelong work.
From his faith and family he learned the beauty of kindness to all but he grew up to laser focus in on being kind to young children.
Instead of using children as an easy mark to be exploited by corporate society he created a beautiful neighborhood and invited children.to join him and be his neighbor!
Levan Burton was an excellent narrator with a gentle, kind and easy flowing voice!

Story
Ever wonder what happened to the Isekai’d gamer who found himself incarnated into the overweight body of a LitRPG farmer, only to spit in the face of destiny and earn more money and experience than anyone ever dreamed possible? Fairytales would have you believe he lived happily ever after, but life doesn’t always match up to fairytale endings. Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer turned clerical error, has now become a thorn in the vindictive Northern Regent’s side.

I enjoyed this much more than the first book in this series. I also very much enjoyed the Texas drawl of the narrator! There's still a third book that should be written using the foil of the messed up Regent and getting to eat the famous barbecue ribs of his true friend's wife. There's so much to explore, including if the writer can manage the love interest that resulted in his grandchildren. If the writer feels that's something that's uncomfortable then find a cowriter to help develop and write it with them.

Story
A year has passed in the town of Summer Shandy. The farmstead outside of town isn't quite as run-down as it used to be. The fields still need to be tended, the monsters still need to be handled, and the soil will always need a tilling. That's life. And for Jason Hunter, it's a good one. At least it would be if it wasn't for those out-of-towners.

Hurray hurray, it was not an overpowered warrior and not another cookie cutter boy or girl comes of age and uses magic or power some such to overcome the world! Instead it was simple tale of an average guy do the right thing despite the costs. I kept reading each chapter to see how he would! I am looking forward to the next book!

It boggles the mind to learn how very little we know about the common everyday stuff that surrounds us. This quirky tongue in cheek book opens the door to the beginning of knowledge. The author should write a trilogy on this topic.
