What would have made Terrible Twos better?
A child psychologist or MD should listen to it. It is grossly inaccurate regarding developmental milestones in toddlers. At one point, it says that you might want to contact your doctor by age two if the child is not walking. Even you (the person reading this review) know that most kids walk well before then. At 18 months greater than 99% of kids can walk. A parent should talk to their pediatrician long before that if the child is not walking. That child should have some kind of early intervention to help prevent further developmental delay. Much of the rest of this book is like this, however, that is just one example. This is absolutely not written by a person with any child developmental experience and by someone who is clearly not a parent. It is not research based. I think a trusting parent could miss a speech, motor, or cognitive developmental delay listening to this.
