Great read

Loved this but it’s honesty impressive that two different narrators have almost the exact same voice. Some chapters say whose view it is but it’s still hers confusing and there’s a lot of rewinding.

Very cute light hearted romance. Honestly when characters are very “woe is me” and constantly feel bad for them selves despite not a thing steering them that way, just their own thoughts feeling bad for them selves and doubting everything, it gets really whiney, repetitive, and annoying. I wouldn’t recommend it but I it wasn’t time wasted. There were a few times she just kept going back to “he’s in another world, he could never be someone like me etc” I considered just not listening but I just fast forwarded thought it.

Story
Angie always thought high school romances were just silly infatuations that come and go. She certainly never thought she would fall in love over one short summer. But then she sees Jack Duluth’s crew cut peek out over a booth in McKnight’s drugstore, and their connection is beyond any childish crush. Suddenly, Angie and Jack are filling their summer with stolen moments and romantic nights. But as fall grows closer, they must figure out if their love is forever or just a summer they’ll never forget.

Not worth the read for me

This book is very simple. Cute and old school. A good book I’d say for a casual read without any expectations or thrills. Just for me personally this felt more like a 1950s teenagers diary back in time when things were simpler and not much happened…at all.

When she was young, she loved her grandfather's stories of parallel worlds, inhabited by girls who looked like her but led totally different lives. Sasha never believed such worlds were real - until now, when she finds herself thrust into one against her will. To prevent imminent war, Sasha must slip into the life of an alternate version of herself, a princess who has vanished on the eve of her arranged marriage. If Sasha succeeds in fooling everyone, she will be returned home; if she fails, she'll be trapped in another girl's life forever.

Amazing! But unfinished :(
Reviewed: 05-12-22
It’s honestly been a while since I’ve read a book series like this and fell in love with it. The story is amazing I got through this book so quickly I love everything about it, it just really sucks that the series is unfinished and possibly never will be.

Honestly this is a great series but it’s unfinished and there’s no guarantee it ever will be finished. So I’d have to say don’t bother reading unless you’re okay with a few cliff hangers and lots of unanswered question you may never find out.

Great story. Not the best narrator.

Love this book series as well as the tv series but the narrator is just not a good fit. She sounds very young, maybe 12-13 years old so some of the more adult conversations and scenarios are a little uncomfortable to listen to because it sounds like it’s coming from a 7th grader so it’s a little cringe. Other than that I love the series and hope one day they make a renewed version with an older narrator:)

Narrators voice is so childish and weird its very cringe. A hard listen when Clary sounds like a 3 year old. Not the best listen. Will most likely just read the rest of the books. The narrator for sure ruined the story for me :(
