This series has been an amazing ride. I have loved it from the start, it continues to impress me with the twists and turns. Even if I can guess part of it, there’s always something new to discover. My favorite detective series out of the 20 or so I have read… I can’t wait for the next one!!!

Story
In a boarded-up house on a dead-end street at the edge of the wild Washington woods lives a family of three. A teenage girl who isn’t allowed outside, not after last time. A man who drinks alone in front of his TV, trying to ignore the gaps in his memory. And a house cat who loves napping and reading the Bible. An unspeakable secret binds them together, but when a new neighbor moves in next door, what is buried out among the birch trees may come back to haunt them all.

This book continued to amaze me.. I am so thankful to have found it. I thought, with about 3 hours left, that I had it all figured out. I definitely did not. I had a wonderful time listening as did everyone who was hearing me rave about the book. I hope my review is the push someone needs to read this book.
