It is only half a book. The real story is not told.

I liked the narrator. But the tale was only partially told. There was no resolution for her or the rest of the gamily.

Story
Sebastian Ballister, the notorious Marquess of Dain, is big, bad, and dangerous to know. No respectable woman would have anything to do with the "Bane and Blight of the Ballisters", and he wants nothing to do with respectable women. He's determined to continue doing what he does best - sin and sin again - and all's going swimmingly…until the day a shop door opens and she walks in.

A true keeper

This is one of my all time favorite Beauty and Beast trope books. The characters have become family, I have listened to it so many times. The reader captures all the nuances if the various characters.
5 stars.

Story
Since his return from war, the Duke of Ashbury's to-do list has been short and anything but sweet: brooding, glowering, menacing London ne'er-do-wells by night. Now there's a new item on the list. He needs an heir - which means he needs a wife. When Emma Gladstone, a vicar's daughter turned seamstress, appears in his library wearing a wedding gown, he decides on the spot that she'll do.

Fun lovable take on beauty and the beast

I have read it once and listened twice. Characters you can love and cheer for. It is fun to read a book that has likable - flawed characters that don't weigh you down with a lot of angst.
Another fun read by this author. Cannot wait for the next book in the series.
