Suspense and romance

Rushed and poorly delivered

I was excited for a four something hour audio. This severely disappointed. It was neither romance nor suspenseful mystery. The characters were poorly developed if at all. Kisses and love without any conversation or even a date. Zero time elapses as characters go through what should be harrowing events. Even those events are depicted poorly. Your heart is not concerned because your heart is frankly uninvested. About the only reason I finished is because I wanted some closure.
Was not helped by the reader. In fact, I almost didn’t make it past the first 15 minutes because of the reader. Very weak voice differentiation across characters. to the point, I was not at all sure who said what if it hadn’t been scripted by the author.
This was just a storyline, with unbelievable characters, poor development, rushed resolution, and poor narration.

Such a great story

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Twists and turns coupled with great characters that grew as the pages turned. So often authors spend pages and pages talking about nothing that it frustrates. Not in this one. There was description and detail without wasted time. Just really well done.

missing some closure

Overall a great story. Real people struggling with their faith or lack of faith in extraordinary times. The love story never fully developed and in the end you were left with a warm friend. That was pretty disappointing.
