Story
Ellis and Michael are 12-year-old boys when they first become friends, and for a long time, it is just the two of them, cycling the streets of Oxford, teaching themselves how to swim, discovering poetry, and dodging the fists of overbearing fathers. And then one day, this closest of friendships grows into something more. But then, we fast-forward a decade or so to find that Ellis is married to Annie, and Michael is nowhere in sight. Which leads to the question: What happened in the years between?

Vivid Storytelling

Loved every minute of this devastating story. You can’t help but feel the loneliness - the longing of Mikey. Even the mundane day to day leaves you gutted, and fully captures the depth of his love for E. Adding this to our home library immediately.

Story
Stanley Tucci grew up in an Italian American family that spent every night around the kitchen table. He shared the magic of those meals with us in The Tucci Cookbook and The Tucci Table, and now he takes us beyond the savory recipes and into the compelling stories behind them. Taste is a reflection on the intersection of food and life, filled with anecdotes about his growing up in Westchester, New York.

Completely changed my perception of the author

I loved what I knew of and had seen of Mr. Tucci’s work so upon hearing of this release I was very excited to dive in. Unfortunately, he came across a bit narcissistic & arrogant. The recipes and familial stories were interesting but overall left me with a bad taste in mouth. If you like tales told with a hefty serving of celebrity privilege, this may be just what you’re looking for.
