Story
The world has crumbled, and the dead walk the Earth, but all is not lost. A group of survivors, led by weary veterinarian Anna and gruff loner Garfield, seek salvation at an abandoned pier where the dead can’t reach them. It's a place they might be able to call home, but then again, nowhere is truly safe. The dead are everywhere but aren't the only threat. Other people survived the apocalypse, and when an injured man turns up at the pier, it sets into motion a terrible chain of events. The world may have changed, but people haven’t.

Not a fan of the cheesy music

Great story but can do without the music
It really kind of takes away from the story
the music just doesn’t work

Story
A largely untold facet of the war on terror is the widespread outsourcing of military tasks to private mercenary companies. Accountable neither to the citizenry nor to standard military legal codes, these largely unregulated corporate armies are being entrusted with ever-greater responsibilities on behalf of the nation.

Very Liberal attitude towards Blackwater
Reviewed: 08-12-17
Writer seems to give the attitude of anti Christian and anti conservative.
Apparently if you are conservative it's not appropriate to not share donations with the left as well?
The author has that kinda weird attitude?

Good story, unrealistic hero

It is a good story, however I prefer the more realistic prepper/disaster books. Not everyone has crazy amounts of resources with a perfect lifestyle (money, property with large acreage, unlimited guns and ammo, all kinds of military training, etc.).
