Story
Bob Odenkirk’s career is inexplicable. And yet he will try like hell to explicate it for you. Charting a “Homeric” decades-long “odyssey” from his origins in the seedy comedy clubs of Chicago to a dramatic career full of award nominations - with a side trip into the action-man world that is baffling to all who know him - it’s almost like there are many Bob Odenkirks! But there is just one and one is plenty. Featuring humorous tangents, wild characters, and Bob’s trademark unflinching drive, Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama is a classic tale told by a determined idiot.

sleep-inducing....

I finished this, but it wasn't easy. The narrator sounds as if he is reading a list of ingredients off a cereal box. Many of the voice actors put effort into sounding like real people, in spite of the stilted dialogue, but others are, you can tell, reading a script without emotional input. I will be avoiding any other Graphic Audio productions, as I like to listen to audiobooks while driving, and can't risk falling asleep behind the wheel.

Story
The Fifty-Year Mission: The Next 25 Years: From the Next Generation to J. J. Abrams is an incisive, no-holds-barred oral history telling the story of post-Original Series Star Trek, told exclusively by the people who were there, in their own words - sharing the inside scoops they've never told before, unveiling the oftentimes shocking true story of the history of Star Trek, and chronicling the trials, tribulations, and tribbles that have remained deeply buried secrets until now.

Some oooof....the narr-rrationn...is maaadening

Great material, which illustrates out of all the various stories and points of view given over many decades, the "truth" sits somewhere in the middle.
Now.
As many before me have said, the narration is problematic. There is one male narrator who sounds as if he is attending a funeral, like recording this was a huge depressing chore. There is aaa femaaale narr-rrator who reeeads as if she is taaalking tooo chill-dreeen. Anyone who has listened to this book will know immediately who I am referencing. Then there are the various mispronunciations of various names, locations and concepts that are sprinkled through the production like a bitter spice that ruins an otherwise delicious meal.
However, the performance of Alex Hyde-White is outstanding. Awake, alert and engaged in the material, his voice evokes memories of Robert Vaughn. His care of the material he is reading really shows.
