Got Past the Beginning….
Reviewed: 03-28-22
Listen to the first book first, then get past the beginning of this story, it starts a bit late. I would also recommend listening to the Savage Wars trilogy first as well, puts the whole book in better perspective in regards to the background and what is actually going on in regards to understanding what goes into the making of a legionnaire.

A Start of Something Good!
Reviewed: 09-09-21
I am a fan of Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time, Brandon Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive, Robin Hobb’s Farseer Trilogy, and Michael J. Sullivan’s Riyria Chronicles just to name a few of my favorites.
As well I am very picky about narrators and have my favorites like Tim Gerard Reynolds, Micheal Kramer, and R.C. Bray again to name a few.
I will say that Blessing and Curse exceeded my expectations. In the build up of the characters and the detail and build up of the time period and world that was created. I have been on a military SiFi binge and this was a really nice pause to get back and find a good fantasy book! I am looking forward to the next book!

Great Surprise!
Reviewed: 11-13-17
Initially after trying out the sample of the book I was a bit skeptical. I am very picky about my narrators and will not even touch a book if the narration sounds off. However, after using a credit and trying it out I was very surprised and happy I picked the book out. It does start off slow so be warned, however keep listening! It turns into a great story! If you like Robert Jordan you will like how Tad Williams writes as well. They both start out slow, but end up spinning quite a tale!
