Lesson 1, "I don't know how to speak Mandarin"
Reviewed: 11-15-18
I love this series. I'm learning with no pressure. Purely for fun. My stretch goal is to understand some lines in my favorite kung fu movies, I guess. Mandarin is a very fun and rather logical language to learn. After having casually meandered my way way through the first five lessons, there are patterns to the language that are easily recognized and absorbed through repetition, making the learning seem more like a quick word /sound substitution memory game than a foreign language lesson. Have fun!

always a fun read... er, listen

The Badass series is pure fun and factually accurate, with considerable liberties taken with the author's hilariously vivid and stretched story telling style. I'm also giving it a fiver because he gave a nod to Monkey Island in the last chapter. :)
