Story
Alan Moore channels both the ecstatic visions of William Blake and the theoretical physics of Albert Einstein through the hardscrabble streets and alleys of his hometown of Northampton, UK. In the half a square mile of decay and demolition that was England's Saxon capital, eternity is loitering between the firetrap housing projects. Embedded in the grubby amber of the district's narrative, among its saints, kings, prostitutes, and derelicts, a different kind of human time is happening.

Long, layered, lyrical

This book has so many stories in it, I can’t summarize it in a review. It’s beautifully, cleverly written, and the performance of the narrator lifts Alan Moore’s gorgeous writing off the flat page and into the wrinkles of your brain.
73 thumbs up.

Story
At six years old, Terry was told by his headteacher that he would never amount to anything. He spent the rest of his life proving that teacher wrong. At 66, Terry had lived a life full of achievements: becoming one of the UK's best-selling writers, winning the Carnegie Medal and being awarded a knighthood for services to literature. Following his untimely death from Alzheimer's disease, the mantle of completing Terry's memoir was passed to Rob Wilkins, his former assistant, friend and now head of the author's literary estate.

Terry’s assistant Rob is a fantastic storyteller in his own right (you can tell he started out as a Pratchett fan.) What a thoughtfully, sensitively, beautifully told tale. I truly enjoyed hearing his life and learning so much about him. thank you to the Pratchett family & Rob for letting us all have more pieces of Terry to hold.

The Great Doctor!

I enjoyed these stories, fantastic as they may be (it was wonderful to peek into the Doctor's world and hear what the animals have to say) However, bugs me that Dr Dolittle has no issues with eating meat. I'm not a vegetarian, either, but I don't go around chatting with the pigs and cows. How does he decide who's a friend and who's a meal?
Alan Bennett's voices and narration are great! These classic stories deserve a listen :)

Great balance between really good dialogue and epic action. Keeps with the Greek/Roman inspired culture of the series. I like to imagine this as an anime in the same vein as Saint Seiya.

Story
Keras Selyrian is already well on the way to cutting his name into the annals of legend. He’s fought false divinities, thieving sorcerers, and corrupt demigods - and left them defeated in his wake. But he’s a long way from home, and Kaldwyn offers a different brand of danger than he’s used to. He’s already got a sword of unfathomable power, but it’s damaged and leaking world-annihilating mana, so he’s in the market for a new one. Possibly six. The more the better, really.

Good but not as good as the main story.

It was nice to get away from Coren and Sara a bit but their roles were filled by Karis and Dawn almost exactly. Coren's examination of everything was just moved to Karis and Sara's snark was given to Dawn. That said it was good. Those are some of the reasons i love Sufficiently Advanced Magic. It just lacked it's own originality. It was definitely a bit more epic than the usual setting at the school. I would recommend it if you like the other stories. Also Nick Podell never disappoints with his stellar performance. He's the reason I initially started listening to Rowe's books.

Story
This is the way the world ends: with a nanosecond of computer error in a Defense Department laboratory and a million casual contacts that form the links in a chain letter of death. And here is the bleak new world of the day after: a world stripped of its institutions and emptied of 99 percent of its people. A world in which a handful of panicky survivors choose sides - or are chosen.
