Loved this Book!!!

The “Godfather of Fitness” Jack LaLanne’s words and actions are as relevant and motivating now, as they were 70+ years ago when he launched the very first, modern fitness TV show! Both his insightful words, and the anecdotes from the many famous leaders and health and wellness experts that were inspired by him, were entertaining, thought provoking, and motivating. If you are looking for a truly positive and inspiring book to launch you into becoming a happier and “better you” I highly recommend it!

Story
Veteran reporter Jack McEvoy has taken down killers before, but when a woman he had a one-night stand with is murdered in a particularly brutal way, McEvoy realizes he might be facing a criminal mind unlike any he's ever encountered. Jack investigates - against the warnings of the police and his own editor - and makes a shocking discovery that connects the crime to other mysterious deaths across the country. Undetected by law enforcement, a vicious killer has been hunting women, using genetic data to select and stalk his targets.

Fantastic Book! One of Connelly’s Best!
Reviewed: 06-01-20
I am an enthusiastic and ardent Michael Connelly fan. His crisp, journalistic style of writing and deeply fact-based, research-rich, content always keeps me engaged and wanting more! While a HUGE Bosch fan (in all forms: book, video, short story, etc.), I still believe by far Connelly’s best and most frightening villains are featured in the McEvoy series. And this book is no exception! Joining the ranks of The Poet, and The Scarecrow, Connelly’s latest “Fair Warning” monster may be his scariest yet! I couldn’t put the book down until I finished it. And as an executive working in biotechnology, I can assure you the cautionary tale related to the DNA “Wild West” is disturbingly accurate. It was a terrific book- and made me want to support nonprofit journalism to ensure “the whole story” is told in real life. I highly recommend it - and can’t wait for the next McEvoy bad guy. Well done, Michael Connelly!

Great & Exciting Read - Incredibly Well Written!

I am not a rock climber; and was so pleased that the author told her story about climbing (and life) in such a human and relatable way; allowing even non-climbers to understand and enjoy her challenges and adventures as if we were on the wall beside her! The writing and story-telling is exceptionally descriptive and fast paced - jumping between her athletic challenges and life experiences growing up in a strict, traditional home; falling in love, and suffering heartbreak and divorce; and coming to terms with being the mother of two brilliant, athletic children - one of which is the most famous Free Solo climber in the world! I very much enjoyed the book and recommend it to anyone seeking to overcome challenges and embrace life.
