Story
As a child, Anna Wintour was a tomboy with no apparent interest in clothing but, seduced by the miniskirts and bob haircuts of swinging 1960s London, she grew into a fashion-obsessed teenager. Her father, an influential newspaper editor, loomed large in her life, and once he decided she should become editor-in-chief of Vogue, she never looked back.

Storyline was okay until it turned political at the end.

I Don’t want to learn about her view of politics. We hear enough about that in the news.

Story
On the day of our wedding, he humiliates me in front of a thousand people. Seven days later, I'm on my knees, begging him to punish me again. I never thought I'd find myself craving the cruel touch of a mafia boss, but I am, and it might just end in my death. Kazimir. His name means destroyer of peace. It fits him well.

Had to stop

The narrator was painfully annoying to listen to. Had to stop after 10 minutes. Don’t waste your time.

Walt Disney was a true visionary whose desire for escape, iron determination, and obsessive perfectionism transformed animation from a novelty to an art form, first with Mickey Mouse and then with his feature films–most notably Snow White, Fantasia, and Bambi.

Overall hard to get to the end
Reviewed: 03-19-23
For me, the last 4 hours of this terribly long story was the best. The first 30+ hours were not that captivating. I was determined to finish though. I guess I’m dumb, because the vocabulary of this writer was out of my league. Wish it talked more about how his ideas of Disney parks came to life. Perhaps I’ll look for a different book.

Story
"I'll never forget that night. It was like a romance novel, an old Broadway musical, and a John Wayne western rolled into one. Out for a quick drink with friends, I wasn't looking to meet anyone, let alone a tall, rugged cowboy who lived on a cattle ranch miles away from my cultured, corporate hometown. But before I knew it, I'd been struck with a lightning bolt... and I was completely powerless to stop it."

I’m so glad Ree narrated her own book. This was a feel good book that anyone who loves Ree should read/listen to. Loved it! Can’t wait to get her next book.
