Story
When Nancy Cooper moved from Canada to Cary, North Carolina, with her new husband Brad, their future was bright. Living in one of the most picturesque towns in the United States, the couple mingled with neighbors, attended parties, and raised two daughters. Then, on July 14, 2008, the façade came crashing down when Nancy's strangled body was found in a storm pond. Nancy's husband claimed that she had gone for a jog and never come back.

good book a lot of repetition

I enjoyed the book I feel terrible for Nancy's family especially her children. I felt that a lot of the information was repetitive.

Story
In this intimate, haunting, literary memoir read by the author, an American icon tells her story for the first time, in her own gorgeous words - about a challenging and lonely childhood, the craft that helped her find her voice, and a powerful emotional legacy that shaped her journey as a daughter and a mother.

I really love this book just like I love this actress and have for years! I can relate to so much that she speaks of from her childhood into her older years. Well worth the read I hated that it ended!

Story
The most fatal mistake? Trust. It's the foundation of any enduring relationship between friends, lovers, spouses, and families. But when trust is placed in those who are not what they seem, the results can be deadly. Ann Rule, who famously chronicled her own shocking experience of unknowingly befriending a sociopath in The Stranger Beside Me, offers a riveting, all-new collection from her true-crime files, with the lethally shattered bonds of trust at the core of each blood-soaked account.

Narrator is wonderful and I highly recommend any of Ann Rules books. it is difficult to hear stories that contain horrifying events but Ann does it in such a way that make us get to know these people and remember the lives that they lived. Prayers going out to all the families involved in these stories.

Story
Before Adam Walsh there were no faces on milk cartons, no Amber Alerts, no National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, no federal databases of crimes against children, no pedophile registry. His 1981 abduction and murder, unsolved for over a quarter of a century, forever changed America.

Hard to believe that it took 27 years to bring this child and family some semblance of justice. Rest in peace Adam.
