Story
When a man who appears mentally unstable holds a group of people hostage and dies in a shootout with the FBI, Special Agent Lucy Kincaid is assigned to investigate what happened. Meanwhile, Lucy's husband, Sean, is on top of the world: His son, Jesse, is visiting for the summer. They're having a blast, until they're followed. Sean is positive the surveillance is connected to Jesse’s stepfather - who had once laundered money for a violent drug cartel. But when Lucy and Jesse are run off the road, they begin to wonder if the attack is connected to Jesse...or Lucy’s current case.

Best series EVER !!!!!

I listen to books constantly and mostly only series. I've gone to notice that almost every series I've read by the end I was bored by them because they were a repeat of the book before especially detective ones. This one is SO different. every story is exhilarating intense and leaves you wanting to skip chapters to find out lol. The love story entwined in the amazing stories is great. Before I started this series I was thinking there was too many books that I would be bored and not finish, but now I wish there was so many more. The author is so talented truly
