All of the narrators did a wonderful job working on this project together. Hearing the legends James Earl Jones and Angela Lansbury reprise their roles for this was the perfect choice. Heck, doing the project overall was the right thing to do. With so many people stuck at home -- most of them bored and need entertainment -- listening to audiobooks has become a "thing" over the years, but especially during this time, its popularity seems to be rising in 2020. This audiobook was fascinating to listen to and very easy to envision. Everyone did splendid, including Boyd, no matter how old they get. I'll keep listening to this over and over again. (I have yet to see the movie)

This book had my mind soaring!

Although there were some parts that had some logic and math that i couldn't quite understand, the book overall was well written and I enjoyed the twists and turns that the characters went through along their journey both on the ground and in the air. I liked how tense and intriguing the story became over time, and I really liked the ending.
The narrator did an excellent job portraying each character and their personalities as they went through several turns of events. Each of them had their own story and unique personality that was read and played out well. Flynn definitely inherited the acting talent from his family. I'm sure that many of us, including myself, are eager to hear more. (and maybe - if he makes the choice - to see him in a project someday. It fits him well.) Well done.

Fasten your falx knives and grab the reins of your quadriga: Rivals 2! More Frenemies Who Changed the World is the funniest look at people who benefited the world through their hatred. This audiobook has it all: death beams, chariot races, flaming costumes, ear-munchers, party fleas, and whatever the opposite of epic poetry is.... No fact is too bizarre, no segue too surreal, and no sequitur is too non for this riotous sequel.

Funny, Educational, and a Good Short Pace
Reviewed: 08-08-19
I expected these stories to be formatted in a certain way. I didn't know how they did the first one, so I didn't know what to expect a first. After listening to the first one about Edison, I was already laughing before the story itself even started! I was very well entertained by the talented cast! Edison, The Stylists, and the Boxers were my favorite! I'm glad the stories were rather short, but were also well-read. The author had an interesting idea for writing this series to make it all funny, educational and short for anyone to listen to.
The cast did a wonderful job with all the characters! I became hooked to Edison's voice as soon as I heard it. Then I got inspired by the lady fashionistas story after Edison's. It wasn't just the story, it was who performed them that inspired me. And of course, who could forget one of the most famous boxing champions, Frazier and Ali? I didn't know he was born a different name! These two made me laugh the hardest, especially since Flynn, who played Frazier (excellent job with the voice tone and the accent!) has a father who also faced Ali a long time ago. The man who played Ali, I loved his brassy, confident tone for his character. It fit really well and it was easy for me to imagine the two rival at each other.
I also enjoyed the music and sound fx that kept the story alive as you listen. Sometimes a good voice isn't enough, you gotta include some background to visualize things better.
This listen was very funny and easy to learn from. I highly recommend. I'm glad everyone who participated made this possible.

Story
To most people, I've always been known as the smart one. The levelheaded, easygoing, laid-back Bennett brother. Steady as a rock...unshakable. My future was carved out. All I had to do was stay focused. That all changed the night I met Claire Dixon. Beautiful, crazy, wild - opposite of me in every way. She was impossible to resist. For the first time in my life, I gave into temptation, falling hard and fast along the way. Letting her go once was the biggest mistake of my life.

A Sexy, Adult Romance Story with Sass and 'Tude
Reviewed: 04-09-19
Flynn has done it again, teaming wonderfully with Grace on this sexy novel! I had hoped to hear more stories from Flynn (especially considering his father is a talented narrator) and sure enough, I find this. Grace Grant plays a beautifully built, attractive, intelligent, fiery woman that is CRAZY over Mathis Bennett. And Flynn, definitely as talented (to me), plays the calm, level headed, smart, delicious Mathis, who wants Claire and no one else, and plays it well. I enjoyed hearing both narrators express their characters feelings and what they saw and heard as they describe the situations in their perspectives.
This was a well written book and I hope the author keeps it up. Splendid work at keeping my ears perked up for unexpected moments in the book and great twists that had me jump or gasp as I listened. I will be looking forward to more projects in the near future. Thanks for the inspiration Ahren! You've given me an idea or two for a similar story!

Fascinating to Listen to
Reviewed: 12-13-18
Aware the second book had been released, it had me wondering if Flynn was going to narrate that book as well. When I looked up the book series at the beginning of this month, I noticed the audiobook for the second book was already almost out. My heart jumped and a huge smile spread across my face.
After pre-ordering it (almost immediately) I waited patiently for the rest of the book to come out. As soon as it struck midnight on December 10, turning to December 11, I downloaded it and began listening to it. It's only been two days and I'm already on Chapter 27! I cannot stop listening to it.
I admire both Flynn and his father's storytelling skills and I love the way he expresses the character's personalities, especially when he gives them their own voice just by changing his pitch. In book 2, he does an excellent job describing the settings, how certain actions impact the characters, and overall tells a good story. I look forward to more projects!

Story
Logan Willis’s life is falling apart: he lost his job and found out that his wife is cheating on him all in the same day. Thinking that his world has ended, Logan checks into a hotel and turns on the TV to see that he's not far wrong - radio telescopes have detected mysterious signals coming from inside our solar system, and the source is moving toward us at over 500 miles per second. The media concludes that these signals must be of an alien origin. Still reeling from the news, Logan gets a phone call from his brother-in-law.

Handsome Voice for Storytelling, Just Like His Dad
Reviewed: 11-28-18
Although Flynn's voice isn't the same pitch as his father's, his voice is captivating for this story, and he tells it WELL. He captures the emotions of the characters nicely, and he reads the story nice and smoothly. He should get more reading opportunities for narration work so, maybe, just maybe, he can work in something WITH his dad! I mean, he is already a natural (to me) for narrating a story like this! Something tells me he's into these kinds of stories... :)
Me (and millions of others) being a big fan of Mr. Jones (James) and the family, I can already see that he was meant to do things like this, and it runs in his blood!
As for the story, it is definitely getting me to my feet (just reached chapter 9 while typing this review) and I'm eager to know what is about to happen next. Jasper wrote an excellent book, with an alluring plot that keeps its readers (that are into these kinds of books) on edge, and the twists are fascinating to listen to!
I hope to hear more from James and/or Flynn very soon with more work like this in the future. Keep it up :)
