Story
Nataya is my world. My rock. My wife. Our marriage was perfect. Or so I thought. Reality hits me hard when I come home to an empty bedroom and a scribbled note on our bed. It’s over. Or so she thinks. I’d rather lose my sanity than lose her. I thought convincing Nataya to start again would be easy.

Terrible Narration
Reviewed: 01-10-24
The primary purpose in listening to an Audible book is hear a story come to life with awesome narration. The narration for this book was awful, the worse I have ever heard. The author should have at least had a male and female narrator. This narrator could not pull off both roles and her narration made the story boring. I wasted my money on this one.

As always, she delivered! Ms. House is a wonderful and positive storyteller of black love, really love in general, but I am always thrilled to read her representation of love among wonderfully defined black characters.

Good Story. Boring Narration.
Reviewed: 09-22-22
The story was good, but the book was very difficult to get through because the narrator was boring. The reader was doing just that, boring flat, with no life reading the book. I buy audible books for the excitement that the narrators usually bring. I felt like my money was wasted and that I could have purchased an e-book or a real book and read it myself.

Great story, great transitions. I love how she brings the other 3 series into this one. I love how she continues to tell this huge story through the various series. Very smart and intelligent writer.

An enduring, but edgy love story. I truly admire Ms. House's body of work. It is a true pleasure that her stories celebrate healthy black love.
