Story
Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

The narration was poorly done. Trying to do many voices and most sounded the same. Book 1 & 2 had a better narrator. Took away from the story. I had to replay section which I rarely do.

Fun entertaining audio story

Ok so all of these low ratings are junk. They are self-righteous people spouting off.
I’m over 60, and a conservative, but an adult who can read/listen to a story and not make it political.
The gender issue was just a tiny segment of the story. It was only one client issue.
Read the story for the engaging charm of a fresh idea.
The writers made it enjoyable. I like a nice easy story on audible for cleaning out the garage days.
Don’t be scared off. It is NOT political. Enjoy and chill.

Story
Welcome to New York’s legendary hotel for women, the Barbizon. Liberated after WWI from home and hearth, women flocked to New York City during the Roaring Twenties. But even as women’s residential hotels became the fashion, the Barbizon stood out; it was designed for young women with artistic aspirations, and included soaring art studios and soundproofed practice rooms. More importantly still, with no men allowed beyond the lobby, the Barbizon signaled respectability, a place where a young woman of a certain class could feel at home.
