Story
In the mid-70s, Steve Martin exploded onto the comedy scene. By 1978 he was the biggest concert draw in the history of stand-up. In 1981 he quit forever. Born Standing Up is, in his own words, the story of "why I did stand-up and why I walked away".

This story was funny, emotional, and inspiring. I would like to believe this was the real Steve, so I will give him the time. Steve speaks kindly of fame and his audience, even as he acknowledges the physical and mental burnout that follows from giving his all with a generous spirit. Plus, it made me like my grumpy Dad just a little more. Thanks for the story.

Great stuff. Similar to Change Anything but the information was looked at from different angles. I liked the concept of habit for convenience to my brain and it made me appreciate the difficulty in change. Recommended.
